YOGA TO RELAX

I have practised yoga since 1985 & practise yoga & meditation daily.

 

I completed a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course in 2006 & then gained a Diploma to teach Yoga in 2013 from the Inner Healing School of Yoga.  This course is recognised by the Independent Yoga Network.  I have been teaching yoga weekly since January 2013.

 

I have a Level 2 certificate from the British School of Yoga to teach Meditation & a  Level 2 certificate from Move It or Lose It! to teach Chair Based Exercises to elderly people.

 

I am CRB checked, hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate & am a qualified school teacher.

 

Having suffered with several episodes of depression in the past, I now use my yoga knowledge & skills to keep my mind calm & my body relaxed & therefore free from stress.  This ensures that I stay off medication for depression.  I put this first hand knowledge into my teaching which is a gentle style with an emphasis on relaxing.  All postures are adapted with variations so that people of all abilities can do them – even if you are unable to get onto the floor.

 

I am a qualified Laughter yoga teacher but am not currently running any classes.
